Courtney Jasper is a lobbyist in Messerli Kramer’s Government Relations group. Courtney represents clients before the Minnesota Legislature, the Governor’s office, and state agencies. She works to pass legislation that advances her clients’ interests or blocks proposed legislation that would harm them. Some clients hire Courtney simply to monitor activities that could affect them.
Prior to becoming a lobbyist at Messerli Kramer, Courtney worked at the firm as a legislative coordinator. In her position as a legislative coordinator Courtney learned how to lobby and made meaningful relationships with clients and legislators. Before working at Messerli Kramer Courtney worked as a law clerk where she drafted legal memorandum and performed legal research. Courtney has managed successful campaigns at the county and city levels. She also worked at the Department of Administration where she planned the award-winning Minnesota State Capitol Grand Opening.
Courtney is currently working on completing her law degree at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. When Courtney is not advocating for clients or studying she enjoys spending time with her beagle puppy.
