Brett Larson is a Shareholder and Chair of the Business Services Department which oversees the corporate, banking, real estate, estate planning and intellectual property practice groups. Brett focuses his practice in the areas of corporate governance and succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and domestic and international transactions for businesses and estate planning and asset protection for business owners and high net worth individuals. Brett’s multidisciplinary experience provides a unique perspective and yields a more integrated approach to corporate transactions, succession planning, and estate planning.
Brett serves as outside general counsel to many Minnesota based businesses including start ups, small businesses, and global corporations. Brett leverages his experience and background as lead counsel in a broad range of complex litigation and transactional settings to guide and counsel his clients to develop sound business and legal strategies to avoid, and if necessary, be well prepared for litigation.
Brett serves on the firm’s Board of Directors and as Chair of the firm Marketing Committee and as an advisor to the boards of directors for multiple non-profit organizations. He also serves as the Department Chair for the Business Services Department, which includes corporate and business law, commercial real estate law, banking and finance, estate and business succession planning, and intellectual property and technology, all located in the Minneapolis office.
