Heidi J. Posteuca is an associate attorney in MK’s Estate Planning group, where she brings thoughtful precision and compassionate counsel to clients navigating some of life’s most important legal decisions. With a focus on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and elder law, Heidi combines strong legal acumen with a client-centered approach to help individuals and families protect their legacies and manage transitions with confidence and clarity.
In her practice, Heidi works closely with clients of all ages to design customized estate plans that reflect their unique circumstances and long-term goals. She routinely assists families and individuals with drafting essential legal instruments such as wills, trusts, financial powers of attorney, and health care directives, ensuring that each plan is tailored to the client’s personal, financial, and family dynamics. Her work also extends into probate and trust administration, where she guides fiduciaries and loved ones through often complex legal processes with patience and professionalism.
Before joining MK, Heidi sharpened her legal skills as a judicial law clerk for the Minnesota Court of Appeals, where she worked closely with the Honorable Heidi S. Schellhas. This experience provided Heidi with invaluable insight into appellate practice and judicial reasoning, enriching her analytical abilities and deepening her understanding of the legal system. She also gained hands-on experience as a certified student attorney in the Elder Law Clinic at the University of St. Thomas School of Law and through a law clerk position with estate planning attorneys at another Minnesota law firm. These roles helped shape her practical knowledge of elder law and her commitment to serving clients with dignity and respect.
Prior to her legal career, Heidi practiced as a teacher and school administrator, where she developed strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset that continues to inform her work as an attorney. Her professional journey reflects a deep commitment to helping others through thoughtful guidance and clear, accessible legal counsel.
