Katy Sen is Lobbyist Principal and immediate past chair of the firm’s Government Relations Division. Katy represents Fortune 500 companies, professional sports teams, non-profits, small businesses, trade associations, and local governments at the Capitol. Clients trust Katy to navigate complex legislative issues and provide sound advice. Katy’s long-standing relationships with leaders on both sides of the aisle, ability to think creatively about strategy, and unmatched client service have earned her the reputation as one of the top lobbyists in Minnesota.
Prior to coming to Messerli Kramer, Katy served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Governor’s Office, where she oversaw development of the Governor’s biennial state budget and capital budget proposals. Katy also served as the Director of Research in the House of Representatives DFL Caucus for seven years.
Katy holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
