Capital Investment

Messerli Kramer’s Government Relations team helps cities, counties, non-profits, and other clients navigate the bonding process and secure funding for a variety of complex capital investment projects at the State Capitol. We have worked on legislation for Target Field, CHS Stadium, and Allianz Field—the new Minnesota United Soccer Stadium scheduled to open in 2019. Our lobbyists have worked with clients to pass legislation expanding metro transit and light rail, and improving transit stations.

Representative Experience

• Represented the Minnesota Zoo in securing $17 million in funding for the award-winning “Russia’s Grizzly Coast” exhibit.

• Represented a non-profit community health center in securing $2.2 million in funding for capital improvements.

• Represented the City of Bloomington in securing $8.75 million for the Mall of America Transit Station.

• Represented a suburban city in securing $1 million for improvements to highly utilized local road.

• Represented regional transit organizations in securing state support for the Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
