Bailey Strand is a lobbyist in Messerli Kramer’s government relations office, but as with most successful lobbyists, she spends most of her day away from her desk, meeting with legislators and policy makers to help better serve her clients’ needs. Prior to joining Messerli Kramer, Bailey worked as a staffer in the Minnesota Senate for six years, first as a Legislative Assistant and then as lead staff for the Health and Human Services Finance and Policy Committee.
Working in a divided government throughout her entire tenure in the legislature, Bailey Strand formed strong relationships on both sides of the aisle, culminating in the passage of several health and human services omnibus bills into state law. As the key Senate healthcare policy staffer during the COVID-19 pandemic, Bailey worked with Minnesota executive branch officials to pass emergency response aid in a timely manner, benefitting countless Minnesotans. These experiences helped shape her post-Senate career as a lobbyist, and the relationships she formed during her time on the floor continue to prove invaluable to her clients.
