Local Government

Messerli Kramer’s Government Relations team represents the interests of cities and counties at the Legislature. For decades, our team has worked on capital investment, transit, public safety, tax increment financing, and many other issues for local units of government. With strong connections to policymakers and deep knowledge of the legislative process, our team helps local units of government advance their agendas and serve their constituents.

Representative Experience

Represented the City of St. Paul in their successful bids to build CHS Field for the St. Paul Saints and Allianz Field, for the Minnesota United Soccer team.
Represented the Municipal Legislative Commission, an association of 18 suburban cities, on tax and fiscal issues at the Capitol.
Represented the City of Bloomington in securing $8.75 million for the Mall of America Transit Station.
Represented two of the three largest counties in Minnesota on issues related to transit, public safety, capital investment, and other issues.
Represented regional transit organizations in securing state support for the Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
