Profile

George Serdar has represented companies and individuals in a multitude of business disputes for over 35 years.  This variety of experience allows George to bring a practical approach to every legal engagement.  By focusing on realistic resolutions, as well as a thoughtful and thorough approach in the litigation process, the best result for the client is the central goal of George’s work. 

Because of George’s experience in law firm management and ethics issues, he is able to represent law firms and individual lawyers regarding professional responsibility and ethics matters.  George Serdar is able to represent individual lawyers in disciplinary proceedings before the Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility.  He also offers mediation services to assist other lawyers in the resolution of significant disputes in litigation.

An area of particular interest to George is the representation of trustees, personal representatives, and beneficiaries in disputes involving the management of trusts and probate proceedings.

  • Represented numerous businesses in breach of contract disputes across a wide range of industry groups.

  • Represented companies in employment matters including the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, termination of senior officers and managers, and employee discipline issues.

  • Advised many businesses in disputes involving non-compete agreements.

  • Counseled lawyers and law firm managers with respect to ethics rules and professional responsibility.

  • Represented lawyers in disciplinary proceedings before the Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility.

  • Acts as a mediator to assist other lawyers and parties to resolve difficult contested cases.
