James E. Kachelski

With nearly 25 years of litigation experience, Jim Kachelski provides the firm’s clients with the insights and experience needed in strategic negotiations to maximize the collection for delinquent loans and credit accounts.  He has been admitted to represent clients in state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court.  He is well versed in laws governing credit transactions, including the Wisconsin Consumer Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Jim’s legal education began with a broad-based study of law as an undergraduate, and he brought his many years of small-firm experience with him to Messerli Kramer. This background gives Jim a unique ability to devise comprehensive solutions to the most complex situations. If an agreement  cannot be reached through negotiation, he can call upon his extensive trial experience to attain positive results for the firm’s clients in the courtroom.
