Profile

John Beattie is a shareholder in Messerli Kramer’s Corporate group. With 40 years of private practice experience, he has the broad knowledge needed to advise companies, shareholders and individuals about the legal implications of their business decisions—guiding business owners and managers through organizational, regulatory, and financial matters.

Prior to private practice, John clerked for the Honorable Miles W. Lord, United States District Judge for the United States District Court in the District of Minnesota with graduate academics in administrative and securities law from The George Washington University School of Law.

John has a long history as a leader on civic, corporate and educational boards and serves as a council member for the City of Excelsior in Minnesota. These activities have helped him be an effective advocate and counselor for his clients.
