Represented regional client in the acquisition and redevelopment of a multinational corporate headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota.

Represented client in the acquisition, development, construction and financing of three student housing projects located on the University of Minnesota campus and subsequent sale of the projects, with an aggregate value of more than $200 million, including formation of a Tenancy in Common structure to accommodate a tax deferred exchange.

Represented client in connection with the sale of an apartment project and simultaneous refinancing of a second apartment project, in which the mortgaged debt on the site sold was transferred to the second site and assumed by the site’s owner.

Represented clients in the creation of a Tenancy in Common ownership structure to accommodate a partial forward and partial reverse tax deferred exchange.

Represented client in the development of upscale apartment projects in Brooklyn Park and Maple Grove, Minnesota and negotiated construction financing for the projects totaling in the aggregate $80.5 million.

Represented client in multi-party transactions including simultaneous acquisition and sale of several parcels of property, partial reverse and partial forward tax deferred exchanges to redevelop and replat multiple parcels into a cohesive, mixed-use development.

Represented non-profit charter school in connection with acquisition and financing of several charter school facilities in the City of Minneapolis, including a recent multi-lender financing transaction involving employing traditional secured loans as well as new market tax credits.
