Profile

Stephen Kaminsky is an attorney in Messerli Kramer’s Consumer Collections and Creditors’ Remedies group and focuses on maximizing the recovery of debts for firm clients. Stephen represents National Banks, Credit Unions, Debt Buyers, and other lending institutions all throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ohio Courts. He also has experience with Foreclosures, Replevins, Bankruptcies, and Evictions. He appreciates the unique situation each consumer faces and is sensible in his approaches, but if negotiations don’t work out, is also confident in litigation.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where he played soccer, and a Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School, where he interned for the Wisconsin Department of Justice and Wisconsin Court of Appeals, in addition to clerking for the Waukesha County Corporation Counsel and a private Law Firm. He was a Sports Law Review journal member and volunteer for many legal clinics, including a multitude of pro bono work. He also served in the Sports Law Society and Criminal Law Society.

In his spare time, Stephen enjoys the outdoors with his family and friends, particularly hunting and fishing. He is also a certified soccer trainer and coach.
